GOD OF MUSLIMS, CHRISTIANS AND JEWS?

Arabic-speaking Muslims who convert to Christianity often refer to the One True God as “Allah” -- despite the fact that they recognize the differences between the nature and revelation of God as described in the Bible and the nature and revelation of God as described in the Qu’ran. [For example, the doctrine of the Holy Trinity (Matthew 28:19.)]

NOSTRA AETATE,
“Declaration on the Relation of the Church to Non-Christian Religions”

#3. _ The Church regards with esteem also the Moslems (Muslims). They adore the one God, living and subsisting in Himself; merciful and all-powerful, the Creator of heaven and earth, who has spoken to men; they take pains to submit wholeheartedly to even His inscrutable decrees, just as Abraham, with whom the faith of Islam takes pleasure in linking itself, submitted to God. Though they do not acknowledge Jesus as God, they revere Him as a prophet. They also honor Mary, His virgin Mother; at times they even call on her with devotion. In addition, they await the day of judgment when God will render their deserts to all those who have been raised up from the dead. Finally, they value the moral life and worship God especially through prayer, almsgiving and fasting.

Since in the course of centuries not a few quarrels and hostilities have arisen between Christians and Moslems (Muslims), this sacred synod (sancta synodus) urges all to forget the past and to work sincerely for mutual understanding and to preserve as well as to promote together for the benefit of all mankind social justice and moral welfare, as well as peace and freedom. _ Pope Paul VI (October 28, 1965).

NOTE: When the Bishops of the whole world are congregated under the presidency of the Pope, the synod (council) is denominated ecumenical or general. It is only to such an assembly that it is lawful to apply the term “sancta synodus” (sacred synod) _ New Advent, Catholic Encyclopedia

The further away people of other faiths are from the fullness of the Catholic faith, the more their understanding of God will be defective, and at times some people with a severely defective understanding of God may cross over into the worship of idols and demons... The more they reject Jesus Christ, the fullness of the revelation of God, the more defective their relationship with God will be... Consequently, we must engage in sympathetic, pro-active and compassionate missionary activity. _ Fr. Dwight Longenecker

RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORISM:
ISLAMIC STATE IS SATANIC

Note: "ISIS" (the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) is now called "ISIL" (the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant -- which includes Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, Israel, Jordan, and parts of Turkey).

Rome, Italy (April 15, 2015) _ In a recent Facebook post, well-known Roman exorcist Father Gabriele Amorth said the Islamic State (ISIS) “is Satan,” and he also questioned the lack of response from Western nations.

“ISIS is Satan. Things first happen in the spiritual realms, then they are made concrete on this earth,” he said in an April 8 post on the social media website.

Father Amorth continued, “there are only two spiritual realms: The Holy Spirit and the demonic spirit.”

He said the demonic enters in “because evil is disguised in various ways: political, religious, cultural, and it has one source of inspiration: the Devil. As a Christian I fight the beast spiritually.

“The political world, which today seems to lack a response in face of the massacre of Christians, will also have to fight ISIS and it will do it in a different way. If it advances as it seems to be doing, we ask ourselves what has the West done over the course of the last decades.”

The priest, who founded the International Association of Exorcists, explained that Satan “keeps saying that the world is in his power, and what he says is true. Biblically speaking we are in the last days and the beast is working furiously.

ISIS took control of the largest Christian city in Iraq, Qaraqosh, in August last year, causing tens of thousands of people to flee.

The terrorist group has persecuted and murdered Christians and other religious minorities in parts of Syria and Iraq.

Fr. Amorth, age 90, has performed over 70,000 exorcisms during the past 29 years. The number is so high because carrying out an exorcism can require multiple sessions and each time the rite is administered it is counted as one instance.

Fr. Amorth has previously spoken about the danger posed by people no longer believing in the Devil, as well as a shortage of exorcists.

THE ARCHANGEL GABRIEL

And Muhammad, a false prophet.

In the Old Testament, the Archangel Gabriel was sent by God to the prophet Daniel to explain the prophet’s visions (Daniel 8:15-26; 9:20-27).

In the New Testament, the Archangel Gabriel was first sent by God to the priest Zechariah to announce the birth of his son, John the Baptist, prophet and forerunner of the Christ (Luke 1:8-20).

Then, the Archangel Gabriel was sent by God to the Blessed Virgin Mary to announce that she would give birth to “the Son of the Most High” without knowing man, by the Power of the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:26-38).

THE ANNUNCIATION

600 years after The Annunciation, the Archangel Gabriel was allegedly sent by God to the prophet Muhammad (570 AD -- 632 AD) to dictate the Qur’an -- The Final Testament of Restored Truth. This alleged revelation of the One True God denies the Divinity of Jesus Christ -- the second Person of the Holy Trinity, sent into the world by the Father to become man and save us from our sins.

After appearing to the Blessed Virgin Mary to announce that she would give birth to the Son of God (Luke 1:26-38), could the Archangel Gabriel later appear to Muhammad and deny the Divinity of Jesus Christ? Of course not!

Muhammad, the founder of Islam, believed Jesus had come “only as a prophet,” to begin the work which he (Muhammad) was destined to complete -- that is, the restoration of the monotheistic faith of Abraham to its original purity, a design he believed to be corrupted by “People of the Book” (that is, Jews and Christians).

But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach [to you] a gospel other than the one that we preached to you, let that one be accursed! As we have said before, and now I say again, if anyone preaches to you a gospel other than the one that you received, let that one be accursed! (Galatians 1:8-9)

Was it truly an angel from heaven that appeared to Muhammad? Or could this have been a demon pretending to be the Archangel Gabriel? Was Muhammad a narcissist, a liar? Was he mentally ill, hearing voices? Or could this have been a diabolical locution (a form of private revelation, similar to an apparition, that is received internally)?

One thing is true. Muhammad is a false prophet.

The defective revelation of the One True God as described in the Qu'ran gives one a partial and distorted understanding of Him. And the further away Muslims are from the fullness of the revelation of God found in the Catholic Church, the more defective their relationship with the One True God will be.

Father Zakaria Botros

From an interview with the Coptic Orthodox Priest with a 60-million-dollar bounty on his head from al Qaeda.

Question: "In your view, who was Muhammad?"

Fr. Botros: "Well, I have received the answer from Islam's own books. Ironically, Ibn Taymiyya, who happens to be the hero of the modern mujahid movement, explained the prerequisites of prophet-hood very well. One of the things he stressed is that, in order to know if a prophet is in fact from God, we must study his sira, or his biography, much like the Christ's statement that 'You shall know them from their fruits.' So, taking Ibn Taymiyya's advice, I recently devoted a number of (teachings) analyzing the biography of Muhammad, which unequivocally proves that he was not a prophet, that his only fruits were death, destruction, and lust. Indeed, he himself confessed and believed that he was being visited and tormented by a jinn, or basically a demon, until his wife Khadija convinced him that it was the angel Gabriel which, of course is ironic, since Muhammad himself later went on to say that the testimony of a woman is half that of a man. Maybe over time he realized she was wrong, and that his first assumption was right." _ Catholic Online
