HALLOWEEN / SAMHAIN

While most people innocently celebrate Halloween as a children’s night of scary costumes and candy (“Trick or Treat”)… neo-pagans, such as Druids and Wiccans (witches) -- followers of the Old Religion -- celebrate Samhain, a night for remembering the dead and for practicing divination concerning the future.

SAMHAIN (Summer’s End)
Celtic New Year & “Festival of the Dead”

“When the sun’s power wanes, and the strength of the gods of darkness, winter, and the underworld grows great . . . On the night of Samhain, the door to realms beyond mortal comprehension is opened, the veil between life and death is at its thinnest . . . It is believed that at this time of the year the souls of the dead can walk among the living . . . This night (October 31) and all of the first week of November once blazed with ritual fires, upon which the early Celts symbolically burned all the frustrations and anxieties of the preceding year.” _ R. L. Ellison, The Solitary Druid

This reminds me of the “Cremation of Care” ceremony at the Bohemian Grove, which includes the burning of a mummy-like effigy named “Care” at the foot of a 40-foot-tall concrete owl.

The Great Owl at the Bohemian Grove represents Moloch. Moloch is the god/demon of child murder. Some also believe the Great Owl represents “the ability to see in the dark,” and is associated in that sense with the All Seeing Eye. It obviously has some hidden meaning.

To purge themselves of worldly concerns, members of the Bohemian Club -- a private club of influential men (the ruling elite) which meets annually in Sonoma County, CA -- participate in a “Cremation of Care” ceremony -- which is, a mock child sacrifice.

Cremation of Care Ceremony at the Bohemian Grove

Lighting a torch and turning towards a funeral pyre, the High Priest says: “Great Owl of Bohemia, we thank thee for thy adjuration.”

The High Priest lights the pyre and continues: “Well should we know our living Flame of Fellowship can sear the grasping claws of Care, throttle his impious screams and send his cowering carcass from this Grove. ‘Begone, detested Care, begone! Once more we banish thee!’ Let the all potent spirit of this lamp by its cleansing and ambient fire encircle the mystic scene. ‘Hail Fellowship! Begone Dull Care! Once again, Midsummer sets us free!”

Is this a ritual cleansing of conscience for members of secret societies... an “absolution” for sins/crimes against humanity? And what is this “all potent spirit” that cleanses consciences with ambient fire?

Satanists established October 31 as an “All Demons’ Night” -- “All Hallows’ Eve” -- a festival and major “sabbat” for Satanists and witches.

A sabbat is “a secret rendezvous of witches and sorcerers for worshiping the Devil, characterized by orgiastic rites, dances, feasting, etc.”

PSYCHIC GIFTS AND DIVINATION

Many people believe that everyone has natural “psychic abilities” to some extent. And they believe these (alleged) natural abilities can be enhanced through practices like meditation (the emptying of the mind of thoughts -- which leaves one open).

You may find that the special sensitivity provided by ‘self-hypnosis’ is an aid to achieving your goals by psychic means.” _ a practicing psychic

Does everyone have natural “psychic abilities” to some extent?
-OR-
Are some people more “spiritually sensitive” than others?

We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit that is from God, so that we may understand the things freely given us by God. And we speak about them not with words taught by human wisdom, but with words taught by the Spirit, describing spiritual realities in spiritual terms. (1 Corinthians 2:12-13)

There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit; there are different forms of service but the same Lord; there are different workings but the same God who produces all of them in everyone. To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is given for some benefit. To one is given through the Spirit the expression of wisdom; to another the expression of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit; to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit; to another mighty deeds; to another prophecy; to another discernment of spirits; to another varieties of tongues; to another interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit produces all of these, distributing them individually to each person as he wishes. (1 Corinthians 12:4-11)

AND THEN THERE ARE “PSYCHIC GIFTS”

“Psychic gifts” do not come from God, the Holy Spirit. Psychic gifts are “counterfeit gifts” that come from Satan! And working with any kind of “psychic gift” opens a door (portal) to the demonic!

Many “psychics” are high-level Occultists!

There was a “psychic medium” (Michelle Belanger) who regularly appeared on the television program, Paranormal State (A&E) -- and her “psychic gifts” are very real.

“Where do her ‘psychic gifts’ come from?”
Her psychic gifts come from the Devil!

“And no wonder,
for even Satan masquerades as
an angel of light.”
(2 Corinthians 11:14)

Although this “psychic medium” appears to be amazingly accurate… it is important to note that she is a real-life “vampire” (a sub-culture shrouded in secrecy). She is the foundress of House Kheperu with the motto, “Seek Your Own Truth.” She has been seduced by the Devil -- and now leads others astray.

Lorraine Warren (“The Conjuring”) calls herself a “natural” psychic. The truth is, Lorraine Warren is a “clairvoyant” psychic. Her psychic abilities are not “natural.” (Each time Lorraine Warren uses her psychic gift, “it takes a piece of her.” Each time I use my spiritual gifts, I experience the Power of Pentecost!

“A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a rotten tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. So by their fruits you will know them.”  (Matthew 7:18-20)

“Clairvoyant” psychics use divination to “see” into the past, present or future. “Clairaudient” psychics use divination to “hear.” “Clairsentient” psychics use divination to “feel.”

“I received information by seeing, which means I saw movies playing in my mind. When someone came to me for psychic counseling, I could see events in their life flashing before me and knew many things about them -- personal things.” _ a former clairvoyant psychic

Mediums are psychics who (allegedly) receive information by “channeling” spirits of the dead, allowing them to communicate through them. Most psychic mediums are frauds; but when channeling is successful, you are communicating with evil spirits (demons) “pretending” to be spirits of the dead!

“We know that these spirits are not of God. God is not channeled. Nor are the saints, angels or souls of the deceased. For people who dabble in the Occult, the end result is darkness, confusion and, often despair.” _ Fr. Lawrence Gesy, Archdiocese of Baltimore

DIVINATION IS CONDEMNED BY GOD

“When you come into the land which the LORD, your God, is giving you, you shall not learn to imitate the abominations of the peoples there. Let there not be found among you anyone who immolates his son or daughter in the fire, [Let there not be found among you anyone who ritually kills and offers his/her son or daughter as a blood sacrifice to the Devil. (Moloch is the demon of child murder, the ancient abortion demon.)] nor a fortune-teller, soothsayer, charmer, diviner, or caster of spells (divination and black magic), nor one who consults ghosts and spirits or seeks oracles from the dead (necromancy). Anyone who does such things is an abomination to the LORD, and because of such abominations the LORD, your God, is driving these nations out of your way.” (Deuteronomy 18:9-12)

All forms of divination are to be rejected: recourse to Satan or demons, conjuring up the dead or other practices falsely supposed to “unveil” the future. Consulting horoscopes, astrology, palm reading, interpretation of omens and lots, the phenomena of clairvoyance, and recourse to mediums all conceal a desire for power over time, history, and, in the last analysis, other human beings, as well as a wish to conciliate hidden powers. They contradict the honor, respect, and loving fear that we owe to God alone. (Catechism of the Catholic Church #2116)

“Do not go to mediums or consult fortune-tellers, for you will be defiled by them. I, the LORD, am your God.”  (Leviticus 19:31)

“Should anyone turn to mediums and fortune-tellers and follow their wanton ways, I will turn against such a one and cut him off from his people.” (Leviticus 20:6)

“Behind the Church’s attitude toward Spiritualism (Spiritism) is the concern that a Catholic would expose himself to the risk of actually dealing with the evil spirit. The assumption is that if fraud or deception are excluded, and manifestations occur that are beyond natural explanation, the active agent in these cases is neither God nor any one of the good spirits (whether angelic or human) but demonic forces that are sure to mislead the Catholic and endanger the integrity of his faith.” _ Fr. John A. Hardon, S.J.

“Be sober and vigilant. Your opponent the Devil is prowling around like a roaring lion looking for (someone) to devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)

“The light of Satan (clairvoyance) had invaded me due to my disobedience (to God). [Deuteronomy 18:10-13] When I realized that these powers were not from God, I repented.” _ Fabienne Guerrero, former clairvoyant

All practices of magic or sorcery, by which one attempts to tame Occult powers, so as to place them at one’s service and have a supernatural power over others -- even if this were for the sake of restoring their health -- are gravely contrary to the virtue of religion. These practices are even more to be condemned when accompanied by the intention of harming someone, or when they have recourse to the intervention of demons. Wearing charms is also reprehensible. Spiritism often implies divination or magical practices; the Church for her part warns the faithful against it. Recourse to so-called traditional cures does not justify either the invocation of evil powers or the exploitation of another’s credulity. (Catechism of the Catholic Church 2117)

Superstition is a departure from the worship that we give to the (One) True God. It is manifested in idolatry, as well as in various forms of divination and magic. (Catechism of the Catholic Church 2138)

“I will sprinkle clean water upon you to cleanse you from all your impurities, and from all your idols I will cleanse you.
I will give you a new heart and place a new spirit within you, taking from your bodies your stony hearts and giving you natural hearts.
I will put My Spirit within you and make you live by My statutes, careful to observe My decrees.” (Ezekiel 36:25-27)

JESUS CHRIST
THE BEARER OF THE WATER OF LIFE
A Christian reflection
on the “New Age”

#4 _ NEW AGE AND CHRISTIAN FAITH IN CONTRAST:
The New Age which is dawning will be peopled by perfect, androgynous (hermaphroditic) beings who are totally in command of the cosmic laws of nature. [For example: biotechnology (engineering and manipulating the genetic makeup, the DNA, of organisms) and nanotechnology (engineering and controlling matter at the atomic level)] In this scenario, Christianity (and Christian morality) has to be eliminated and give way to a global religion (a religion of naturalism) and a (totalitarian) new world order.

BREAKING CURSES

Practitioners of black magic (witchcraft) evoke (summon) malevolent powers (demons) to kill, steal, injure, cause misfortune or destruction… A curse will create an “opening” (portal) for evil spirits to attack another and cause considerable damage…

Some signs of a curse can include: a history of mental/emotional breakdown, repeated/chronic/hereditary illness, accident-proneness, repeated miscarriages, a history of marriage breakup, a history/cycle of poverty… and/or a family history of suicides and unnatural deaths.

“In the Name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”

In the Name of Jesus, I rebuke and banish from me all curses, hexes, spells and malefice... In the Name of Jesus, I rebuke and banish from me all voodoo practices, black magic and witchcraft... In the Name of Jesus, I rebuke and banish from me all Satanic rituals, blood oaths and unholy soul ties... In the Name of Jesus, I rebuke and banish from me all diabolical incantations, infestations and oppressions... In the Name of Jesus, I rebuke and banish from me all evil wishes, and the evil eye... In the Name of Jesus, I rebuke and banish from me all fasting prayers, not of the Lord, that have been sent my way, or have been passed down through my generational bloodline.
In the Name of Jesus, I take authority over all of them, and I command that they go back where they came from and be replaced with a blessing.

May the waters of my baptism now flow back through my family line and remove every evil influence. Amen.

In the Name of Jesus, I break every curse, hex, spell… and I bind all black magic and witchcraft directed against me. In the Name of Jesus, I break every curse, hex, spell… and I bind all black magic and witchcraft directed against my husband/wife. In the Name of Jesus, I break every curse, hex, spell… and I bind all black magic and witchcraft directed against my family and home. [Do this three times.]

Lord Jesus, I ask forgiveness for, and I renounce all negative inner vows that I have made. And I ask You, Lord Jesus, to release me from any bondage they may have held in me.
Lord Jesus, I plead Your Most Precious Blood on every aspect of my life, and on all my relationships. “Precious Blood of Jesus, wash over me. Precious Blood of Jesus, wash over all my relationships.”
Lord Jesus, I ask You to cleanse me from all impurities. And I ask You, Lord Jesus, to deliver me from all that is evil and unclean. “Jesus, I trust in You; Mary, Take Over.”

“Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, (and) spread the effect of grace of thy Flame of Love over all of humanity, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.”

“In the Name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”

FOLLOW-UP

You know what it is that causes you to suspect a curse on your life and/or family… Do the following spiritual warfare daily, until you feel released:

“In the Name of Jesus, I take authority over every curse, hex and spell directed against me and my family, and I command that they go back where they came from and be replaced with a blessing.”

“Lord Jesus, I choose to forgive everyone responsible for sending a curse to me and my family -- and I ask You to bless them. Amen.”

This will reverse the curse,
and release the blessing of God.

__________

When you receive the Eucharist, for about 15 minutes, you have within you, flowing through your veins, the Blood of Jesus Christ. The Blood of Jesus Christ is now mixing with your blood -- and it is one! This is the time to pray:

“Lord Jesus, as You flow through me, touch the brokenness, the physical ailments within me; heal me. Lord Jesus, as Your Blood flows through my veins, cleanse my family line from every curse, hex and spell. Amen.”

AFRO-CARIBBEAN RELIGION

I often attend daily Mass at a chapel in the heart of the city that is home to many in the Spanish community. Once in a while I notice women wearing the traditional dress of their homeland in the Caribbean Islands. And I have wondered over the years: “Why do the hands of some ‘shake’ after receiving Holy Communion?” “What causes their hands to ‘tremor’ after receiving the Holy Eucharist?”

A few weeks ago, I again witnessed this “shaking or tremor” of the hands after receiving Holy Communion. And again, it was a woman wearing the traditional dress of the Caribbean Islands.

I gently approached this woman after Mass. She did not understand a word of English, but I felt compelled by the Holy Spirit to touch her forehead. And when I did, the shaking (tremor) immediately stopped. As people were still exiting the chapel, I could do no more for her. I waited to speak with the pastor.

The monsignor told me that he is aware of this “shaking” and believes it to be “cultural.” He told me it also occurs during the Sacrament of Penance.

Trusting in our good relationship, I told the monsignor that even a devout Catholic woman can have an evil spirit in her body -- and that this “shaking” (this tremor of the hands) could be an evil spirit reacting to the Divine Presence in the Sacraments.

Later that day, I realized the monsignor was also correct in believing this condition to be “cultural.” His parish includes much of the Spanish community -- including immigrants from Latin America and the Caribbean Islands, where Voodoo and Santeria are widely practiced!

Santeria is a system of beliefs that merges the Yoruba religion -- brought to the New World by African slaves imported to the Caribbean to work the sugar plantations -- with Roman Catholicism. Countries where Santeria is practiced today include Cuba, Haiti, Jamaica, Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador, Belize, Brazil... and the United States.

Santeria is the worship of Yoruba spirits -- called Orishas. Invoking spirits and spirit possession are important parts of Santeria in Cuba.

Although the Roman Catholic Church officially condemns Santeria, this Afro-Caribbean religion is practiced by many who attend Catholic Mass. Santeria is part of their culture. It is the "fusion" of the Yoruba religion with Catholicism.

Blending of Yoruba Orishas with Catholic Saints

Santeria may appear to be the veneration of Catholic saints; however, it is actually the worship of Yoruba spirits -- called Orishas. Orishas are believed to have influence over human affairs. Each Orisha is believed to express a specific aspect of life: romantic love, money matters, passion, virility... and healing. Altars, statues and artwork are created to revere particular deities. Believers each have their own Orisha that protects and supports them throughout life -- like a guardian angel.

Divination, invoking spirits, spell-casting and spirit possession are all important parts of Santeria. And then there is the darker side of Santeria -- “Palo Mayombe” (black magic). Like practitioners of witchcraft and the Occult, practitioners of Santeria are easily possessed and in need of deliverance.
