REVERENCE FOR THE HOLY EUCHARIST

“The picture above is of my home in Fort Valley, Virginia, and the light is coming from my (private) chapel where the Blessed Sacrament is reserved. There is no light in the window and there is no sun out on the day of the picture.” (It was a cloudy day.) _ Fr. Robert Lange

In May 2007, Bishop Paul Loverde of the Arlington Diocese of Northern Virginia gave Rev. Robert Lange permission to reserve the Blessed Sacrament in his chapel on the second floor of his home. The Eucharist had been reserved in the chapel less than a week when this picture was taken from the front porch of a neighbor’s home.

When the neighbor aimed her camera and tried to focus, she said the light coming from Fr. Robert Lange’s house was so bright that it was difficult to look into the camera. (It was a cloudy day and there was no light on in the chapel.) She took the picture and the image -- the Star of David -- is what came out on her digital camera. Not being Catholic, the neighbor had no understanding of the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist.

“My opinion is that Our Lord wanted to give us a beautiful reminder of His True Presence in the Holy Eucharist -- Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity! It is a reminder that He is with us always, that we are never alone, that He is the Son of God and the Son of Man. It is a vivid reminder that He truly suffered and died on the Cross and that He Is Present in this world -- until His Second Coming -- in this Most Special manner -- the Eucharist.
Just as the Star appeared over the stable in Bethlehem when the Christ Child was born, so the Star of David has appeared through the window of my chapel on St. David’s Church Road, Fort Valley, Virginia, to remind us of His Care, Love, Protection, and Presence in our lives today and always.”

ROSARY OF THE SEVEN SORROWS OF MARY

“In the Name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”

Introductory Prayer
My God, I offer You this Rosary for Your Glory, that I may honor Your Holy Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary, by following and sharing her suffering. I humbly beg You to give me true repentance for all my sins. Give me wisdom and the grace of true humility, that I may receive all the indulgences contained in this prayer. Amen.

(“I offer this Rosary for _____.”)

Act of Contrition
O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended You, and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell; but most of all because they offend You, my God, You Who are all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Your grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life. Amen.

In remembrance of the tears that Mary shed because of the suffering of her Divine Son, and to obtain true sorrow for our sins: Hail Mary (3x)

At the cross her station keeping,
Stood the mournful Mother weeping,
Close to Jesus to the last.

Through her heart, his sorrow sharing,
All his bitter anguish bearing,
Now at length the sword had passed.

~ * * * ~

Most Merciful Mother, remind us always
of the sorrows of your Divine Son.

First Sorrow: The Prophecy of Simeon
(Luke 2:22-35)

According to the law of Moses, the Blessed Virgin Mary took Jesus to the temple to present Him to the Lord. Simeon recognized Jesus as the promised Messiah and said: “Now, Master, you may let Your servant go in peace, according to Your word, for my eyes have seen Your salvation, which You prepared in sight of all the peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and glory for Your people Israel.”

Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, “Behold, this Child is destined for the fall and rise of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be contradicted (and you yourself a sword will pierce) so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”

Prayer: Holy Mother Mary, whose heart suffered beyond bearing because of us, help us to suffer with you, and to accept all the suffering God permits to come our way. Imitating you, may our suffering be known to God alone.

To you, Immaculate Mother, who suffered with the Savior of the world, we offer our suffering and the suffering of the world. Join our sorrows to your own and to those of your Son Jesus; and then, offer them to the Eternal Father for the good of souls. You are a mother greater than all. Amen.

Our Father (1x)
Hail Mary (7x)

Virgin Most Sorrowful, Pray for Us!

Oh, how sad and sore distressed
Was that Mother highly blessed
Of the sole begotten One!

Christ above in torment hangs,
She beneath beholds the pangs
Of her dying, glorious Son.

~ * * * ~

Most Merciful Mother, remind us always
of the sorrows of your Divine Son.

Second Sorrow: The Flight into Egypt
(Matthew 2:13-15)

The angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Rise, take the Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you. Herod is going to search for the Child to destroy Him.”

Joseph rose and took the Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt. The holy family stayed in Egypt until the death of Herod, that what the Lord had said through the prophet might be fulfilled: “Out of Egypt I called my son.” (Hosea 11:1)

Prayer: Blessed Mother Mary, who has suffered so much, give us a courageous heart like yours. Help us to accept with love all the suffering God permits to come our way. Help us to accept all the suffering we inflict upon ourselves, and the suffering inflicted upon us by others.

You alone, Immaculate Mother, purify our suffering, that we may give glory to God, and save our souls. Amen.

Our Father (1x)
Hail Mary (7x)

Virgin Most Sorrowful, Pray for Us!

Is there one who would not weep,
‘Whelmed in miseries so deep,
Christ’s dear Mother to behold?

Can the human heart refrain
From partaking in her pain,
In that mother’s pain untold?

~ * * * ~

Most Merciful Mother, remind us always
of the sorrows of your Divine Son.

Third Sorrow: The Loss of Jesus in the Temple
(Luke 2:41-52)

At age 12, Jesus remained behind in Jerusalem after the feast of Passover. Thinking that He was in the caravan, His parents journeyed for a day. Not finding Him among their relatives, they returned to Jerusalem.

After three days they found Him in the temple, “sitting in the midst of the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions, and all who heard Him were astounded at His understanding and His answers.” But Mary exclaimed, “Son, why have You done this to us? Your father and I have been looking for You with great anxiety.” Jesus answered, “Why were you looking for Me? Did you not know that I must be in My Father’s house?”

What pained Mary was that Jesus had decided to stay behind without her consent. She felt the same pain Jesus felt when He was abandoned by His disciples (apostles) during His Passion.

Prayer: Holy Mary, Mother of God, help us to accept everything that will come in this life; help us to be able to carry our crosses. Prepare us to be ready every single moment to come before the Face of God. Amen.

Our Father (1x)
Hail Mary (7x)

Virgin Most Sorrowful, Pray for Us!

Bruised, derided, cursed, defiled,
She beheld her tender Child,
All with bloody scourges rent.

For the sins of his own nation
Saw him hang in desolation
Till his spirit forth he sent.

~ * * * ~

Most Merciful Mother, remind us always
of the sorrows of your Divine Son.

Fourth Sorrow: Mary Meets Jesus on the Way to Calvary
(Luke 23:27-31)

A large crowd followed Jesus, including many women who mourned for Him. Jesus turned to them and said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me; weep instead for yourselves and for your children, for indeed, the days are coming when people will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed.’ At that time people will say to the mountains, ‘Fall upon us!’ and to the hills, ‘Cover us!’ for if these things are done when the wood is green what will happen when it is dry?”

The Blessed Virgin witnessed Jesus carrying the cross on which He was to be crucified. But this was no surprise to Mary, for she already knew about the approaching death of her Son. Already weakened by the soldier’s cruel scourging, sharp thorns and numerous hard blows, Jesus’ body resembled a corpse carrying a cross.

Filled with anguish, Mary watched as Jesus fell once more, exhausted, unable to raise Himself. At that moment, Mary’s eyes full of love and compassion met her Son’s eyes, pained and covered in blood. She shared in the pain of His Passion.

Prayer: Beloved Mother, so stricken with grief, help us to accept and bear our own suffering, that we may relieve your sorrowful heart and that of Jesus. In doing so, may we give glory to God Who gave you and Jesus to us. As you suffered, teach us to suffer silently and patiently. Grant unto us the grace of loving God in everything.

Immaculate Mother, Mother of Sorrows, most afflicted of all mothers, have mercy on us sinners, and on the sinners of the whole world. Amen.

Our Father (1x)
Hail Mary (7x)

Virgin Most Sorrowful, Pray for Us!

O sweet Mother! font of love,
Touch my spirit from above,
Make my heart with yours accord.

Make me feel as you have felt;
Make my soul to glow and melt
With the love of Christ, my Lord.

~ * * * ~

Most Merciful Mother, remind us always
of the sorrows of your Divine Son.

Fifth Sorrow: Mary Stands at the Foot of the Cross
(John 19:25-27)

Standing at the foot of the Cross of Jesus were His mother, His mother’s sister (Mary), and Mary Magdalene (“out of whom He had driven seven demons”). When Jesus saw His mother and John (“the disciple whom He loved”), He said to His mother, “Woman, behold, your son.” Then He said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother.” And from that hour the disciple John took the Blessed Virgin Mary into his home.

Prayer: Beloved Mother, Immaculate Mother, Queen of Martyrs, give us the courage you had in all your sufferings so that we may unite our sufferings with yours and give glory to God. Help us to follow your example, so that Jesus’ sacrifice will not be in vain, and all sinners, the world over, will be saved. Amen.

Our Father (1x)
Hail Mary (7x)

Virgin Most Sorrowful, Pray for Us!

Holy Mother, pierce me through,
In my heart each wound renew
Of my Savior crucified.

Let me share with you his pain,
Who for all our sins was slain,
Who for me in torments died.

~ * * * ~

Most Merciful Mother, remind us always
of the sorrows of your Divine Son.

Sixth Sorrow: Mary Receives the Dead Body of Jesus in Her Arms
(John 19:38-40)

After this, Joseph of Arimathea, secretly a disciple of Jesus for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate if he could remove the body of Jesus. And Pilate permitted it. So he came and took His body. Nicodemus also came bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes. They took the body of Jesus and bound it with burial cloths along with the spices, according to the Jewish burial custom.

Mary knew better than anyone else that Jesus was God Incarnate -- that God had taken a human body to become the Savior of the world. And looking at His broken body, the Holy Mother knew that His agonizing death was far worse than the torture reserved for the wickedest of criminals. Mary prayed for the world. She prayed for all of us, that all would truly follow God, so that Jesus’ torturous death would not be in vain.

Prayer: Beloved Mother, we thank you for your courage as you stood beneath the Cross on which your Son was crucified, giving Himself up for our salvation. That is when you became Our Mother. We implore you to be our advocate before the throne of mercy and grace, so that we can truly become your children. We thank you for Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer, and we thank Jesus for giving you to us.

“Holy Mary, Mother of God (Mediatrix of all graces), pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.”

Our Father (1x)
Hail Mary (7x)

Virgin Most Sorrowful, Pray for Us!

Let me mingle tears with you,
Mourning him who mourned for me,
All the days that I may live.

By the cross with you to stay,
There with you to weep and pray,
Is all I ask of you to give.

~ * * * ~

Most Merciful Mother, remind us always
of the sorrows of your Divine Son.

Seventh Sorrow: Jesus Is Placed in the Tomb
(John 19:41-42)

Now in the place where Jesus had been crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb, in which no one had ever been laid. So because of the Jewish day of Preparation, they laid Jesus there.

With great pain and tremendous sorrow, the Mother of the Word Incarnate returned home knowing, “It is accomplished!” The earthly life of her Son Jesus -- the work that the Eternal Father had given Him to do -- is accomplished.

Prayer: Most Beloved Mother, Mother of Mercy, Mother of Jesus, and Mother of us all, we are your children and we place our trust in you, as we place our trust in Jesus. Teach us to see God in all things and in all situations, even in our sufferings. Help us to understand the importance of redemptive suffering.

Immaculate Mother, although you were conceived without sin, you suffered more than others. You accepted suffering with love and with unsurpassed courage. You stood by your Son from the time He was arrested until He died. You suffered along with Jesus, accomplished the will of the Eternal Father, and hence became Mediatrix of all graces.

Mother Mary, we beg you to teach us to do as Jesus did. Teach us to accept our cross courageously. Help us to follow in His footsteps, even to be willing to lay down our lives for others. And when our end is upon us, may we also be able to say, “It is accomplished.” Amen.

Our Father (1x)
Hail Mary (7x)

Virgin Most Sorrowful, Pray for Us!

Virgin of all virgins blest!
Listen to my fond request:
Let me share your grief divine.

Let me to my latest breath,
In my body bear the death
Of that dying Son of yours.

~ * * * ~

Concluding Prayer
Mother Mary, Queen of Martyrs, your soul was immersed in the ocean of suffering. We beg you by the merits of the tears you shed in these terrible sorrowful mysteries, to obtain for us and all sinners of the world, the graces of complete sincerity, true repentance and conversion. Amen.

To wipe away our Sorrowful Mother’s tears shed because of the suffering of her Divine Son: Our Father (3x) and Hail Mary (3x)

“O Mary, conceived without sin,
pray for us who have recourse to thee.” (3x)

The Memorare
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, our Mother. To thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy, hear and answer me. Amen.

“In the Name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”

PSYCHIC GIFTS AND DIVINATION

Many people believe that everyone has natural “psychic abilities” to some extent. And they believe these (alleged) natural abilities can be enhanced through practices like meditation (the emptying of the mind of thoughts -- which leaves one open).

You may find that the special sensitivity provided by ‘self-hypnosis’ is an aid to achieving your goals by psychic means.” _ a practicing psychic

Does everyone have natural “psychic abilities” to some extent?
-OR-
Are some people more “spiritually sensitive” than others?

We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit that is from God, so that we may understand the things freely given us by God. And we speak about them not with words taught by human wisdom, but with words taught by the Spirit, describing spiritual realities in spiritual terms. (1 Corinthians 2:12-13)

There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit; there are different forms of service but the same Lord; there are different workings but the same God who produces all of them in everyone. To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is given for some benefit. To one is given through the Spirit the expression of wisdom; to another the expression of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit; to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit; to another mighty deeds; to another prophecy; to another discernment of spirits; to another varieties of tongues; to another interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit produces all of these, distributing them individually to each person as he wishes. (1 Corinthians 12:4-11)

AND THEN THERE ARE “PSYCHIC GIFTS”

“Psychic gifts” do not come from God, the Holy Spirit. Psychic gifts are “counterfeit gifts” that come from Satan! And working with any kind of “psychic gift” opens a door (portal) to the demonic!

Many “psychics” are high-level Occultists!

There was a “psychic medium” (Michelle Belanger) who regularly appeared on the television program, Paranormal State (A&E) -- and her “psychic gifts” are very real.

“Where do her ‘psychic gifts’ come from?”
Her psychic gifts come from the Devil!

“And no wonder,
for even Satan masquerades as
an angel of light.”
(2 Corinthians 11:14)

Although this “psychic medium” appears to be amazingly accurate… it is important to note that she is a real-life “vampire” (a sub-culture shrouded in secrecy). She is the foundress of House Kheperu with the motto, “Seek Your Own Truth.” She has been seduced by the Devil -- and now leads others astray.

Lorraine Warren (“The Conjuring”) calls herself a “natural” psychic. The truth is, Lorraine Warren is a “clairvoyant” psychic. Her psychic abilities are not “natural.” (Each time Lorraine Warren uses her psychic gift, “it takes a piece of her.” Each time I use my spiritual gifts, I experience the Power of Pentecost!

“A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a rotten tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. So by their fruits you will know them.”  (Matthew 7:18-20)

“Clairvoyant” psychics use divination to “see” into the past, present or future. “Clairaudient” psychics use divination to “hear.” “Clairsentient” psychics use divination to “feel.”

“I received information by seeing, which means I saw movies playing in my mind. When someone came to me for psychic counseling, I could see events in their life flashing before me and knew many things about them -- personal things.” _ a former clairvoyant psychic

Mediums are psychics who (allegedly) receive information by “channeling” spirits of the dead, allowing them to communicate through them. Most psychic mediums are frauds; but when channeling is successful, you are communicating with evil spirits (demons) “pretending” to be spirits of the dead!

“We know that these spirits are not of God. God is not channeled. Nor are the saints, angels or souls of the deceased. For people who dabble in the Occult, the end result is darkness, confusion and, often despair.” _ Fr. Lawrence Gesy, Archdiocese of Baltimore

DIVINATION IS CONDEMNED BY GOD

“When you come into the land which the LORD, your God, is giving you, you shall not learn to imitate the abominations of the peoples there. Let there not be found among you anyone who immolates his son or daughter in the fire, [Let there not be found among you anyone who ritually kills and offers his/her son or daughter as a blood sacrifice to the Devil. (Moloch is the demon of child murder, the ancient abortion demon.)] nor a fortune-teller, soothsayer, charmer, diviner, or caster of spells (divination and black magic), nor one who consults ghosts and spirits or seeks oracles from the dead (necromancy). Anyone who does such things is an abomination to the LORD, and because of such abominations the LORD, your God, is driving these nations out of your way.” (Deuteronomy 18:9-12)

All forms of divination are to be rejected: recourse to Satan or demons, conjuring up the dead or other practices falsely supposed to “unveil” the future. Consulting horoscopes, astrology, palm reading, interpretation of omens and lots, the phenomena of clairvoyance, and recourse to mediums all conceal a desire for power over time, history, and, in the last analysis, other human beings, as well as a wish to conciliate hidden powers. They contradict the honor, respect, and loving fear that we owe to God alone. (Catechism of the Catholic Church #2116)

“Do not go to mediums or consult fortune-tellers, for you will be defiled by them. I, the LORD, am your God.”  (Leviticus 19:31)

“Should anyone turn to mediums and fortune-tellers and follow their wanton ways, I will turn against such a one and cut him off from his people.” (Leviticus 20:6)

“Behind the Church’s attitude toward Spiritualism (Spiritism) is the concern that a Catholic would expose himself to the risk of actually dealing with the evil spirit. The assumption is that if fraud or deception are excluded, and manifestations occur that are beyond natural explanation, the active agent in these cases is neither God nor any one of the good spirits (whether angelic or human) but demonic forces that are sure to mislead the Catholic and endanger the integrity of his faith.” _ Fr. John A. Hardon, S.J.

“Be sober and vigilant. Your opponent the Devil is prowling around like a roaring lion looking for (someone) to devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)

“The light of Satan (clairvoyance) had invaded me due to my disobedience (to God). [Deuteronomy 18:10-13] When I realized that these powers were not from God, I repented.” _ Fabienne Guerrero, former clairvoyant

MENTAL ILLNESS AND THE DEMONIC

Catholic priests work with mental-health professionals to discern what is mental illness and what is demonic possession. In fact, the Catholic Church demands this cooperation before considering an exorcism.

Exorcism _ St. Francis Borgia

Listed in the Roman Ritual are five indicators of possible demonic possession: 1) speaking foreign or ancient languages of which the possessed has no prior knowledge; 2) supernatural abilities and strength; 3) knowledge of hidden or remote things which the possessed has no way of knowing; 4) an aversion to anything holy; 5) profuse blasphemy and/or sacrilege. When these (obvious) signs of possible demonic possession are absent, the “rite of exorcism” is usually denied by the local bishop.

In his book, An Exorcist Tells His Story, Fr. Gabriele Amorth writes about Demonic Possession: “This occurs when Satan takes full possession of the body (not the soul); he speaks and acts without the knowledge or consent of the victim, who therefore is morally blameless.” Fr. Amorth advises, “to fix a set ‘model’ for demonic possession would be a serious mistake; the affliction runs the gamut of symptoms and severity.”

There are other (less obvious) signs of possible demonic possession (and partial possession), but these are usually considered signs of (and dismissed as) demonic oppression or obsession -- or misdiagnosed as mental illness. Therefore, the rite of exorcism is not warranted.

~ * * * ~

While it is true that "full possession" is rare, "partial possession" is quite common. Partial possession exists when a demon enters one’s body and takes control over a specific area of one’s life, a specific aspect of one’s character and personality...

The partially possessed person is "demonized" -- that is, has an evil spirit inside the body. Such a person may sense that something is wrong -- but no connection is made with the demonic. One can be full of anger, have uncontrollable rage, and be violent... One can be full of lust and have insatiable desires or unnatural passions... One can be full of fear, have crippling phobias or experience paralysis... Although one is able to function normally most of the time, one suffers internally with something from which there seems to be no relief. The demon remains hidden within the body -- until it is provoked by a priest or deliverance minister. And when the demon feels threatened, there will be manifestations that expose it.

~ * * * ~

Priests work with mental-health professionals to discern what is mental illness and what is demonic possession. But during this time of testing and observation, a truly possessed person may not necessarily show signs of possession.

[“The fallen angels did not lose their natural knowledge by their sin; nor did they lose their angelic intellect.” _ Saint Thomas Aquinas, The Summa Theologica]

Demons often hide within the victim’s body during the discernment process... Observation by a mental-health professional poses no threat to them. However, provocation by a priest will cause demons to manifest and reveal themselves. But today this rarely happens.

~ * * * ~

Schizophrenia _ People diagnosed with schizophrenia can experience bizarre hallucinations, delusions… disorganized thinking and hearing internal voices. But are these only psychotic manifestations?

Allentown, PA (2011)A psychiatric nurse took me to see a woman who was locked away in a private, psychiatric facility. The woman was suicidal and being treated for “schizophrenia.” Although heavily medicated and sedated, the voices in her head did not stop. She described a constant “chatter” that would neither give her a moment of peace nor allow her to sleep at night.

This woman knew she was not schizophrenic. She exclaimed, “NOT VOICES -- CHATTER!” But the staff at this psychiatric facility did not understand what she was saying. Rather, they kept her heavily medicated and sedated with powerful, antipsychotic drugs and locked up behind closed doors.

In one email, the woman wrote: “I’ve had soooo many out of my body experiences (supernatural abilities) again. I’ll have to explain more explicit about that… I have had two kinds of light. the bad, and the good. each side was big experience… but I feel like I have no god, and he doesn’t exist, I always feel so lost, alone. and this is why I get suicidal thought, cause I feel no one is helping me, and I lose all interests, but dear, death is here, it’s touching me (physical contact by a demon). I feel like life is sad...death is better. death is perfection. like suicides my job. do you really think I will go to hell if I kill myself? or is your god so trusting and forgiving, and he’d just take me cause he loves everybody and doesn’t want them to suffer?”

In another email, she wrote: “…I’m not used to all this god stuff, I’ve really only known the other side (the dark side), and all the things we would have to do to those animals… and their was lots of blood involved, cutting, and a whole lot of sexual and physical abuse (Satanic ritual abuse; profuse blasphemy and/or sacrilege). I had five abortions from that sick man. and I didn’t want his evil parts of me in my body, so I aborted them all. It was constant rape (extreme trauma) and he’d put some kind of powder in the blood to drink (black magic). I think it made us in more of his control, so we couldn’t resist, so it made it easier for him to control us. I cant talk no more,....they (?) want me off the computer…”

I knew the psychiatric nurse from another case; and, the possessed woman was one of her patients when she worked in the state hospital. I still remember how (unnaturally) cold the woman’s (temperature-controlled) room was -- evidence of a demonic presence.

~ * * * ~

Q: Can you imagine how many possessed people are heavily medicated and sedated with powerful, antipsychotic drugs and locked up behind closed doors in state hospitals and private, psychiatric facilities?

A: However many there may be, one thing is certain. Their numbers are growing!

Abandoning Christianity, many people are turning to the Occult… Living in a hostile and aggressive secularist (Godless) society/culture, we can expect to encounter more and more people under the influence of the demonic.

~ * * * ~

Dissociative Identity Disorder / Multiple Personality Disorder _ People diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder can experience dissociative amnesia… and “switching” to alternate identities when under stress. But are these only psychotic manifestations?

Oakland, CA (1991) _ A young woman had been misdiagnosed as having MPD (Multiple Personality Disorder). Her psychotherapist did not realize that her “multiple personalities” were actually demons.

[The reality of “Satanic ritual abuse” has been investigated, and denied by many, over the years... but God has allowed me to witness the “trauma” -- the aftermath -- of Satanic ritual abuse.]

IS SATANIC RITUAL ABUSE REAL?
CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING TESTIMONY.

In August 1991, I was told by a friend about two people who were good in spiritual deliverance. I wasn’t sure I wanted to talk to them. I was afraid that they would tell me that I had to make drastic changes in my life. I wasn’t prepared to give up the lifestyle I was leading.

Since I was very young, I had been involved with a Satanic cult. I was born into the cult and forced to perform hideous acts. Because of all this abuse I developed severe emotional problems. My therapist thought I was a multiple personality -- and I was convinced that these separate entities were good and that they should be there. I enjoyed being different people at times and I would often ask these entities to perform tasks that I didn’t want to (perform).

But life was not all calm for me. I was often suicidal, very depressed, always in some sort of crisis and very self-destructive. I wanted to leave the Satanic cult, but the “personalities” kept drawing me back to the cult. I hated going to the Satanic rituals, but I couldn’t stop. I was so oppressed I couldn’t think of anything but the horrible experiences I had gone through. I was preoccupied with revenge and self-pity. I was constantly reaching out for help, which I sometimes didn’t get. I burned out friends because I was so emotionally needy.

God prepared me to accept what Gene and Mary had to say to me. I didn’t want to believe at first that these “personalities” were actually demons. I didn’t want them to leave. I liked them, cherished them, and didn’t know how to live without them. But when Gene and Mary prayed for me, I knew they were right. Several times I was sick with a fever or in pain, and when Gene prayed, I was healed. The demon “personalities” knew that Gene and Mary were Christians and were able to help deliver me. The demons spat at them and wanted to bite them. The demons cursed them and yelled and screamed.

But when I wanted them to leave, they had no right to stay when Gene and Mary commanded them to leave. So many demons were cast out, some went easily, and others took a lot of work. Memories had to be brought to the surface, hurt emotions had to be healed and forgiveness given to the perpetrators before some demons would leave. We met together many times and Gene and Mary were so loving and gentle to me. Though there were a few times when Gene became firm because I wouldn’t listen or was being stubborn.

Most of all the demons are gone and much healing has taken place. I feel so much better. No longer do I wallow in self-pity or obsessively think about the horrible tortures I had endured. No longer do I hate my parents who did all this to me. I know that God has restored to me all the things that Satan had stolen from me. I know that God has blessed me and has turned a horrible past into a promising future.

Demonic Possession occurs within the body. Demonic Oppression occurs outside the body. Demonic Obsession occurs in the mind.

In his book, An Exorcist Tells His Story, Fr. Gabriele Amorth explains:

Demonic Oppression _ “There is no possession, loss of consciousness, or involuntary action and word,” just severe to mild events that plague the individual. Fr. Amorth points to Job’s severe afflictions and St. Paul’s thorn in his flesh (2 Corinthians 12:7). Fr. Amorth reveals that he and his fellow exorcists “run into a great number of people who have been struck by the devil in their health, jobs or relationships.”

Demonic Obsession _ “Symptoms include sudden attacks, at times ongoing, of obsessive thoughts, sometimes even rationally absurd, but of such nature that the victim is unable to free himself.” Moreover, “the obsessed person lives in a perpetual state of prostration, desperation, and attempts at suicide. Almost always, obsession influences dreams.”

ADDICTIONS AND DIVINE MERCY

From “Divine Mercy Answers Life’s Crises and Problems”
By Fr. George W. Kosicki, C.S.B.

Father George Kosicki, CSB (1928 - 2014) worked with
the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception
in spreading the message of Divine Mercy.

“What Should I Do When I’m Addicted?”

There are various types of addictions. They all affect the whole person in body, mind and spirit. The various addictions begin with a seeking of euphoria or pleasure and eventually end in moral degradation and violent behavior. Consider the following:

Addiction to alcohol is a complex phenomenon that involves the chemistry of the brain, genetic propensity stimulated by excessive intake of alcohol and stress. Some researchers have shown that the break down product of alcohol is not excreted but is “dumped” into the brain and sits on the site of the endorphins. The endorphins are the natural chemicals that stimulate a sense of well-being and pleasure. The end product of alcohol metabolism blocks the site of the natural endorphins -- so the alcoholic is addicted to stimulating the endorphin pleasure site with alcohol.

Addiction to drugs (such as heroine, etc.) follows the same pattern as the end-product of the metabolism of alcohol’s inhibiting the natural endorphins. So the drug addict seeks the euphoria of the drug in a compulsive way.

Addiction to pornography is the latest addition to the list of addictions. The euphoric site in the brain is stimulated to give a sense of pleasure from looking at pornographic materials, for example on the internet. Researchers are reporting that addiction to pornography is the major cause of most of the violent action of molestation of the young and the break-up of the family.

“What Should I Do As An Addict?”

There are Twelve-Step programs for each of the various addictions. Seek them out for help; that is why they exist.

In terms of Divine Mercy as the antidote to addiction, consider the following points that echo the Twelve-Step programs:
  1. Admit your misery and your inability to overcome the complex pneumo-psycho-somatic (spiritual, psychological and physical) addiction by yourself. Turn to God’s mercy. Plunge into the ocean of God’s mercy with complete trust.
  2. Repent of your sinful addiction and repent of your violent actions and moral degradation in the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
  3. Ask a prayer group or a priest to pray over you for healing of the addiction.
  4. Trust in God Who in His infinite mercy is always ready to forgive and to heal.
  5. Seek out a support group of merciful friends to encourage you and challenge you to keep your resolutions.
  6. Stop all addictive behavior by the grace of God -- i.e., no alcohol, no drugs, no porn...
  7. Start with a new life -- new friends, new work if needed to reduce stress, new hobbies, new recreations, change your diet to a balanced intake of food.
  8. Start a life of mercy in action: by deeds, by word and by prayer. Seek out ways to be merciful to those in need of help.
  9. Repent of your self-concern and be concerned for others.
  10. Continue in regular, daily prayer of thanks and asking the Lord for mercy on all those with addictions.
  11. Receive regular and frequent Holy Communion to strengthen and nourish you with the Body and Blood of the Lord, the Presence of Mercy Incarnate.
  12. Entrust your new life to Mary our Mother, the Mother of Divine Mercy.
Ask for His mercy.
Be merciful.
Completely trust in Jesus.

DELIVERANCE AND INNER HEALING

Many Protestant deliverance ministers behave as though freedom from the demonic is the ultimate objective. One of these once told me, “I’ll have you know that I am ‘triple-mantled’ for deliverance.” I don’t even know what that means.

Deliverance is part of God’s healing ministry. And deliverance -- apart from inner healing -- is abuse. The ultimate objective should be “inner healing and wholeness.”

“Nature abhors a vacuum.” The same is true in the spiritual realm. Deliverance from evil spirits creates a “spiritual vacuum.” Therefore, the immediate need (for one who is already baptized) is for the “infilling of the Holy Spirit” and prayer for “inner healing.” Then, through Daily Eucharist and frequent Confession, one will continue to be healed and become more whole. Sanctifying Grace received in the Sacraments fills the “spiritual vacuum.”

~ * * * ~

Some time ago, I came to realize that many of the healings I witness are, in fact, deliverances. A woman once exclaimed, “When you prayed for me, I felt something lift!” It was an oppressing spirit that left her -- because of the anointing (that is, the charism of healing).

For some cases, all that is required is a touch and a prayer; other cases require some spiritual warfare. And all that is required of me are simple commands “in the Name of Jesus,” as inspired by the Holy Spirit. [I do not perform exorcisms. Only a priest may perform an exorcism -- and only with the permission of his Bishop.] It is this charism that causes demons to manifest, and ultimately leave.

The charism that heals also delivers!

San Francisco, CA (September 1990)

_ I attended a Mario Murillo Crusade where I (a Catholic layman) was welcomed to pray for people in the ministry tent. One night I was led to three women. As I approached, one of them became silent and lowered her head. When I looked into her face, I saw her eyes “roll backward” into her skull. Only the white of her eyes could be seen.

The woman was possessed -- but the demons did not begin to manifest until I approached her. It was the presence of the anointing (the charism) that caused these demons to manifest.

This was my “introduction” to the deliverance side of God’s healing ministry. [God is in control, and I do my part.] I followed the inspirations of the Holy Spirit, and the woman was set free.

Days later, I was informed that this woman was one of two lesbians who had made a “suicide pact” with the Devil. That night, she had planned to jump off the Golden Gate Bridge -- but God intervened, and led her to the Crusade (below the bridge) where He had placed me.

Diocese of Arlington, VA (October 2010)

_ After a healing service in Northern Virginia, a psychotherapist asked me to pray with her patients. Then she took me to see one of her patients believed to be a “locutionist.” [A locution is a form of private revelation, similar to an apparition, but rather than being seen a locution is heard or received internally.]

The locutions were convincing -- but diabolical. The woman’s psychotherapist suspected demonic possession, and an exorcism had been approved and scheduled. I had been invited to participate in this exorcism, but the invitation was withdrawn because of liability concerns. Later, I was told the exorcism had been cancelled.

As we approached a large house in the suburbs, a woman yelled from the front door, “They know you’re coming!” The woman invited us into her home and proudly showed us her “shrine” -- a beautiful display of holy icons and statues… She was a nice lady, and it was obvious that she was a devout Catholic. But when she began to speak about Jesus, I heard the mocking voice of a demon!

I interrupted with the command, “In the Name of Jesus, evil spirit shut up!” And immediately, the woman became silent. I remember the surprised look on the doctor’s face.

I asked the woman to sit down, and we began to pray. I asked the doctor to pray the Rosary while I prayed for deliverance and inner-healing. [Once delivered, a man once said that he could feel the Power of the Rosary -- during the war for his soul!]

After two 3-hour sessions, the woman was free. And when the doctor asked me about the diabolical locutions, I told her to burn them.

Once delivered from evil spirits, there is no going back to the former (sinful) way of life. One is now called to “a life of holiness” -- a life centered on the Holy Eucharist. This is now very important -- because the evil spirits will return!

“When an unclean (evil) spirit goes out of someone, it roams through arid regions searching for rest but, finding none, it says, ‘I shall return to my home from which I came.’ But upon returning, it finds it swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and brings back seven other spirits more wicked than itself who move in and dwell there, and the last condition of that person is worse than the first.” (Luke 11:24-26)

[“When the assault of demons (evil spirits) is repulsed, the devil is not rendered incapable of further attack. But it seems that he cannot return immediately to the assault, but only after the lapse of a definite time.” _ St. Thomas Aquinas, The Summa Theologica]

When evil spirits return and find their (former) home Spirit-filled and Sacramentally fortified, they cannot “move in and dwell there.” All doors are closed; all permission (consent) is revoked.

DELIVERANCE FROM FEAR

THE SCREAM

“In the Name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”

Jesus, You are my Salvation.
Whom should I fear?

But there is fear in me, O God.
Fear from childhood abuse and traumas
long forgotten,
fear buried alive in my subconscious mind,
fear that cripples me in the present day.

There is fear in me, O Lord.
Fear that binds me and imprisons me,
even though I am now in the Light.

Jesus, please BIND the "spirit of fear"
in my life.

Please heal all areas vulnerable to
the spirit of fear,
and all areas under its control.

I thank You for the gift of faith --
a faith greater than fear.

Eucharistic Jesus,
You are the healer of my soul.

Please heal my mind and memory,
my intellect and will.
Please heal all childhood memories
of abuse and trauma
that cause me such pain, anguish
and anxiety in the present day.

Jesus, I give You my wounded heart,
my troubled mind.
I give You my broken family.

In total abandonment and trust,
I surrender my life and family to You.
Take care of everything.

Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament,
I trust in You.

Blessed Virgin Mary, liberator of
the oppressed,
Crush the “head of the serpent”
in the lives of all who cannot
or will not forgive (me).

Immaculate Mother,
you are Mediatrix of all Grace.

For the sake of the sorrowful passion
of your Son Jesus,
please work your miracles of grace
in all whom I have injured.
Hold them, form them,
in your Immaculate Heart. Amen.

I now entrust all members of my family,
and myself,
to the Blessed Virgin Mary:
“Envelop us in thy mantle,
Immaculate Mother,
and we will be in total security. Amen.”

“In the Name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”

"O Blood and Water which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in You."

CONFESSION: HEALING THE SOUL

One’s mortal sin testifies to Satan’s victory in one’s life.

When’s the last time you went to confession? The Sacrament of Reconciliation not only takes away our sins, but takes away any “right” Satan has that we may have relinquished to him through sin. One exorcist told me that a lot of deliverance happens in the context of sacramental confession... The voice of the accuser is silenced in the face of God’s mercy, thus restoring peace of mind and soul. Satan is a “liar and the father of lies.” So when you bring the lies you’ve been living into the light, the darkness scatters. _ Mark Mallett, Hell Unleashed: The Sacraments,
 https://www.markmallett.com/blog/hell-unleashed/

Sacrament of Reconciliation - Penance / Confession

Jesus told St. Faustina:

“Write, speak of My mercy. Tell souls where they are to look for solace, that is, in the Tribunal of Mercy [the Sacrament of Reconciliation]. There the greatest miracles take place [and] are incessantly repeated. To avail oneself of this miracle, it is not necessary to go on a great pilgrimage, or to carry out some external ceremony; it suffices to come with faith to the feet of My representative and to reveal to Him one's misery, and the miracle of Divine Mercy will be fully demonstrated. Were souls like a decaying corpse so that from a human standpoint there would be no [hope of] restoration and everything would already be lost, it is not so with God. The miracle of Divine Mercy restores that soul in full.” _ Diary of St. Faustina, “Divine Mercy in My Soul” (1448)

“When you approach the confessional, know this, that I Myself am waiting there for you. I am only hidden by the priest, but I Myself act in your soul. Here the misery of the soul meets the God of mercy. Tell souls that from this fount of mercy souls draw graces solely with the vessel of trust. If their trust is great, there is no limit to My generosity. The torrents of grace inundate humble souls. The proud remain always in poverty and misery, because My grace turns away from them to humble souls.” _ Diary of St. Faustina, “Divine Mercy in My Soul” (1602)

Dr. Ray Guarendi

“‘Lord, I have let myself be deceived; in a thousand ways I have shunned Your love, yet here I am once more, to renew my covenant with You. I need You. Save me once again, Lord, take me once more into Your redeeming embrace.’ How good it feels to come back to Him whenever we are lost! Let me say this once more: God never tires of forgiving us; we are the ones who tire of seeking His mercy.” _ Pope Francis, Evangelii Gaudium

“When I go to confession, it’s for healing: healing the soul, healing the heart because of something that I did to make it unwell.” _ Pope Francis

Through the Sacraments, we receive sanctifying grace. The Sacrament of Confession is more powerful than the rite of exorcism. And living a Sacramental life is the best defense we have against the Devil.
