PRAYERS TO ST. MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL

ACT OF CONSECRATION TO
ST. MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL

St. Michael the Archangel, most Noble Prince of the Angelic Hierarchies, valorous warrior of Almighty God, and zealous lover of His Glory, terror of the rebellious angels, and love and delight of all the just, desiring to be numbered among thy devoted servants, I, today offer and consecrate myself to thee, and place myself, my family and all I possess under thy most powerful protection.

I entreat thee not to look at how little, I, as thy servant have to offer, being only a wretched sinner, but rather gaze, with favorable eye, at the heartfelt affection with which this offering is made. Remember that, if from this day onward, I am under thy patronage, thou must assist me during all my life and procure for me the pardon of my many sins, and the grace to love God, my dear Savior Jesus, and my Sweet Mother Mary with all my heart. Obtain for me the help necessary to arrive at my crown of glory.

Defend me always from my spiritual enemies, particularly in the last moments of my life.

Come then, O Glorious Prince. Succor me in my last struggle. With thy powerful weapon cast far from me and into the infernal abyss that prevaricator and proud angel that thou prostrated in the celestial battle.

Saint Michael, defend us in our daily battles so that we may not perish in the Last Judgment.

Amen.

BREAKING STRONGHOLDS

IN THE MINDS OF MEN

Spiritual warfare takes place in our minds, and in the heavens above us. Fallen angels (demons) can put thoughts in our minds; they can project images on our minds; and, they can build strongholds in our minds -- strongholds of fear, anxiety, scrupulosity… pride, bitterness, unforgiveness… negative thinking, unbelief… self-hatred, despair and addiction…

Livermore, CA (1992) _ One morning after Mass, my prayer partner and I were approached by two women who asked us to accompany them to visit a dying man. As we entered the man’s darkened bedroom, I saw a man who already looked like a corpse. The man’s face was white, like chalk…

The two women chose a corner of the room and began to pray the Rosary. My prayer partner and I approached the bed. It did not take long to discover that this man was an atheist. We tried to “reason” with this man, but our efforts were fruitless. The man was a scientist; and, he would have nothing to do with the foolishness of Christianity.

Finally I told the man, “I can’t help you. I am not a magician.” Then I walked away from the bed. My prayer partner remained at the bedside, and the two women continued the Rosary -- but I was defeated.

Suddenly, I received an inspiration... I returned to the man’s bedside. I placed my right hand on his head and said: “In the Name of Jesus, I come against and BREAK every demonic stronghold in your mind!” (I did this three times.) Then I said: “I reclaim all the territory of your mind for Christ -- in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”

Immediately, the walls came down -- the strongholds in his mind were broken. The man received the grace of conversion. His behavior changed radically… and color returned to his face. The man truly became a “new creation” in Christ.

Later the man told us, “I could feel the power of that prayer, during the war for my soul.” He was referring to the Rosary.

~ * * * ~

During another case, I was inspired to lay hands on a man’s head and say, “I apply the Power of the Cross of Jesus Christ to every demonic stronghold in your mind.” Again, the walls came down -- the strongholds in the man’s mind were broken.

The Walls of Jericho Fall Before the Ark

For, although we are in the flesh, we do not battle according to the flesh, for the weapons of our battle are not of flesh but are enormously powerful, capable of destroying fortresses (that is, “breaking strongholds”). We destroy arguments and every pretension raising itself against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive in obedience to Christ.
(2 Corinthians 10:3-5)

BEGINNING OF SORROWS

It is the end of an era,
and the beginning of sorrows.

Statue of Mary Survives Hurricane Sandy

At Fatima (1917) and at La Salette (1840s), the Blessed Virgin Mary was sent by God to warn that all humanity will suffer an increase in natural and man-made disasters, a Great Apostasy, God’s Justice and Divine Wrath, due to the increase of sin in the world. Our Lady comes to urgently call us to repentance, conversion, prayer and penance, that some of God’s Justice may be averted. But time is running out.

Cova da Iria, Fatima (July 13, 1917) _ Three shepherd children “saw an Angel with a flaming sword in his left hand; flashing, it gave out flames that looked as though they would set the world on fire; but they died out in contact with the splendor that Our Lady radiated towards him from her right hand: pointing to the earth with his right hand, the Angel cried out in a loud voice: ‘Penance, Penance, Penance!’…”
_ From the third part of the “secret” of Fatima, committed to paper by Sister Lucia (January 3, 1944)

Question: Is it within God’s permissive will to allow the use of weapons of mass destruction (“man’s inhumanity to man”) to punish mankind?
Answer: “The angel with the flaming sword represents the threat of judgment which looms over the world. Today the prospect that the world might be reduced to ashes by a sea of fire no longer seems pure fantasy: man himself, with his inventions, has forged the flaming sword.” _ Pope Benedict XVI

“And let us not say that it is God Who is punishing us in this way; on the contrary it is people themselves who are preparing their own punishment. In His kindness God warns us and calls us to the right path, while respecting the freedom He has given us; hence people are responsible.” _ Sister Lucia, Fatima visionary, in a letter to Pope John Paul II (May 12, 1982)

This threat of judgment loomed over the world in 1917. We have been given almost one hundred years -- a century of Divine Mercy. But we now live in the darkest of days. We now live in a world begging for purification…

“I (Jesus) do not want to punish aching mankind, but I desire to heal it, pressing it to My Merciful Heart. I use punishment when they themselves force Me to do so; My hand is reluctant to take hold of the sword of justice. Before the Day of Justice I am sending the Day of Mercy.” (1588) “He who refuses to pass through the door of My mercy must pass through the door of My justice…” (1146) _ From the Diary of St. Faustina, “Divine Mercy in My Soul”

“And so the Church has a profound need
to re-learn penance,
to accept purification,
to learn on the one hand forgiveness
but also the necessity of justice.
And forgiveness does not substitute justice.”
Pope Benedict XVI, During his flight to Fatima (May 11, 2010)

Today, the earth groans under the weight of man’s sins and cries out in a loud voice: “Purification, Purification, Purification!” It is now midnight; it is the end of an age, when man begins to reap the full harvest of what he has sown. The Purification has come, and there is terrible Chastisement on the horizon.

Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that the Antichrist was coming, so now many antichrists have appeared. Thus we know this is the last hour. (1 John 2:18)

The current “global climate of fear” is understandable. For those who do not have faith in Jesus Christ, there is only fear. Fear is all they know.

It is the beginning of sorrows... as global and regional chastisements befall us: “Prepare, Prepare, Prepare!”
  • We need to be in a “state of grace” and “Sacramentally” fortified. (We need to be free of mortal sin through frequent Confession and, when possible, daily Mass.)
  • We need to live according to God’s will. (We need to obey the Ten Commandments, submit to rightful spiritual authority, and follow all the teachings of the Catholic Church.)
  • We need to pray more, and fast. (Prayer changes things, and the Rosary is a Powerful weapon against the enemy.)
  • We need to forgive -- everyone. (Un-forgiveness is a block to receiving God’s grace.)

“An age is coming to an end, not just the end of a remarkable century but the end of seventeen hundred years of Christendom. The greatest apostasy since the birth of the Church is clearly far advanced all around us.” _ Dr. Ralph Martin, Consultor to the Pontifical Council for Promoting the New Evangelization

Let no one deceive you in any way… the apostasy comes first and (then) the lawless one is revealed… (2 Thessalonians 2:3)

UFO DECEPTION

Fox Mulder’s Poster,
The X-Files (1993–2002)

From “The Coming Counterfeit”
By Mark Mallett
(Comments in red are mine.)
Published: April 8, 2010

STARRY DECEPTION?

“I am not certain that we can ignore the increasing manifestation of ‘UFOs’ and the deception that may accompany this. There is a belief within the New Age that the mythology of the gods and the human race was ‘birthed’ from aliens… aliens who will return at some point to bring us into an age of peace and harmony. (Of course, this is nonsense.) One researcher estimates that there are six ‘sightings’ somewhere in the world every hour.” (This is not nonsense.)

“I agree with many other Christians that these (UFOs) are deceptions, but on a couple different levels. For one thing, in those who have been ‘abducted’ (by aliens -- which are demons), there is often left behind a ‘residue’ of after-effects which are very similar to demonic possession, including at times the smell of sulfur.”

[There are no aliens, and there is no extraterrestrial threat. As with “sleep paralysis,” the “alien abduction” experience is a demonic attack that can be abruptly stopped by crying out the Name, Jesus! (Philippians 2:9-11)]

“While there appears to be a demonic element to UFO abductions, there is also evidence that governments possess far more advanced technology than many realize. The ability to produce ‘anti-gravity’ effects has been proven, but never allowed to proliferate in the private sector: it could very well be that UFOs are, in fact, not driven by little green men from Mars, but the product of highly advanced earth technology. This is precisely the conclusion of some who have been involved in high levels of the New Age, but have converted to Christianity. It is also the conclusion of some brilliant scientists and inventors in our time who have been silenced or eliminated when their discoveries and inventions have ‘gone too far.’ Is a coordinated ‘UFO invasion’ possible? Yes, it’s possible… but not from aliens, rather, powerful people wielding powerful tools of manipulation (and control).

 REMEMBER THIS?

12/4/1985 _ U.S. President Ronald Reagan remarks to students and faculty @ Fallston High School, Fallston, Maryland ... 9/21/1987 _ President Reagan’s Address to The General Assembly @ The United Nations (UN), Manhattan, New York City, NY ... 5/4/1988 _ President Reagan’s Address to Members and Guests of National Strategy Forum @ Palmer House Hilton, Chicago, Illinois.

For those involved in Satanism (Freemasonry) and black magic (rituals), it is an Occultic rite to inform their victims, usually in veiled messages, of what they will be doing to them. For those with power and money (members of secret societies conspiring to establish a New World Order), it may often be done through the media in very non-implicating ways. Have the proliferation of Hollywood UFO movies where ‘aliens’ invade or attack or save the earth been a subtle way of projecting a message to the public under the guise of entertainment? (A form of Conditioning.)

Several years ago, I was having a reoccurring dream in which the stars would begin to spin… and then change into fleets of strange, droning aircraft. Some time after, in an instant, I was given to understand what this dream was, and it frightened me (more so because I thought it was crazy!) But now that I have come to understand that such technologies exist and have been witnessed by very credible people (who said the UFOs they saw were not aliens, but definitely man-made), it makes sense in the bigger picture. But it is still disturbing given the conditioning that we continue to see in the media for the public to accept these flying saucers as visitors from space. Can you imagine the panic…?

Considering how widespread is the world’s fascination with UFOs (a sign of the times), this is a deception we should keep in mind, for it may play a significant role in the larger deception that will seduce mankind. [Therefore, God is sending them a deceiving power so that they may believe the lie, that all who have not believed the truth but have approved wrongdoing may be condemned. (2 Thessalonians 11-12)If you see UFOs appear over your cities some day, remember what was written here.”

HALLOWEEN / SAMHAIN

While most people innocently celebrate Halloween as a children’s night of scary costumes and candy (“Trick or Treat”)… neo-pagans, such as Druids and Wiccans (witches) -- followers of the Old Religion -- celebrate Samhain, a night for remembering the dead and for practicing divination concerning the future.

SAMHAIN (Summer’s End)
Celtic New Year & “Festival of the Dead”

“When the sun’s power wanes, and the strength of the gods of darkness, winter, and the underworld grows great . . . On the night of Samhain, the door to realms beyond mortal comprehension is opened, the veil between life and death is at its thinnest . . . It is believed that at this time of the year the souls of the dead can walk among the living . . . This night (October 31) and all of the first week of November once blazed with ritual fires, upon which the early Celts symbolically burned all the frustrations and anxieties of the preceding year.” _ R. L. Ellison, The Solitary Druid

This reminds me of the “Cremation of Care” ceremony at the Bohemian Grove, which includes the burning of a mummy-like effigy named “Care” at the foot of a 40-foot-tall concrete owl.

The Great Owl at the Bohemian Grove represents Moloch. Moloch is the god/demon of child murder. Some also believe the Great Owl represents “the ability to see in the dark,” and is associated in that sense with the All Seeing Eye. It obviously has some hidden meaning.

To purge themselves of worldly concerns, members of the Bohemian Club -- a private club of influential men (the ruling elite) which meets annually in Sonoma County, CA -- participate in a “Cremation of Care” ceremony -- which is, a mock child sacrifice.

Cremation of Care Ceremony at the Bohemian Grove

Lighting a torch and turning towards a funeral pyre, the High Priest says: “Great Owl of Bohemia, we thank thee for thy adjuration.”

The High Priest lights the pyre and continues: “Well should we know our living Flame of Fellowship can sear the grasping claws of Care, throttle his impious screams and send his cowering carcass from this Grove. ‘Begone, detested Care, begone! Once more we banish thee!’ Let the all potent spirit of this lamp by its cleansing and ambient fire encircle the mystic scene. ‘Hail Fellowship! Begone Dull Care! Once again, Midsummer sets us free!”

Is this a ritual cleansing of conscience for members of secret societies... an “absolution” for sins/crimes against humanity? And what is this “all potent spirit” that cleanses consciences with ambient fire?

Satanists established October 31 as an “All Demons’ Night” -- “All Hallows’ Eve” -- a festival and major “sabbat” for Satanists and witches.

A sabbat is “a secret rendezvous of witches and sorcerers for worshiping the Devil, characterized by orgiastic rites, dances, feasting, etc.”

WINNING THE BATTLE FOR THE MIND

Sometimes, the enemy attacks me early in the morning before I am fully awake. Thoughts of sexual fantasy suddenly invade my dreams. (I have been living a celibate life since 1995.) It is temptation when I am most vulnerable. And I am often aware that I am being protected -- that a spiritual battle is being fought over me.

But I do have free will; and sometimes, though not fully awake, I fall into the trap -- the sin of sexual fantasy. One morning, God gave me a prayer to fight off these attacks:

Lord Jesus,
I plead Your Most Precious Blood
on my mind.

Lord Jesus,
I plead Your Most Precious Blood
on every thought in my mind.

Amen.

Use this prayer when you are being harassed by impure thoughts… when you are attacked with strong temptation… when you are tempted to commit sin.

Use this prayer when thoughts distract you during Holy Mass… when thoughts interfere with your prayer life.

Use this prayer when your thoughts become confused… when thoughts torment you during the night, preventing a good sleep.

Use this prayer when you are haunted by past sins -- sins that have already been confessed in the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Use this prayer when you have thoughts that tear you down, accuse you of anything… and cause you to question your self-worth.

Use this prayer when you are afflicted with depressive or obsessive-compulsive thoughts.

Use this prayer when your thoughts are “out of control” … when your thoughts are not your own.

AND FOR OTHERS, PRAY:

Lord Jesus,
I plead Your Most Precious Blood
on _____’s mind.

Lord Jesus,
I plead Your Most Precious Blood
on every thought in _____’s mind.

Amen.

Soon after I began to use this spiritual weapon,
the early morning attacks stopped.

REVERENCE FOR THE HOLY EUCHARIST

“The picture above is of my home in Fort Valley, Virginia, and the light is coming from my (private) chapel where the Blessed Sacrament is reserved. There is no light in the window and there is no sun out on the day of the picture.” (It was a cloudy day.) _ Fr. Robert Lange

In May 2007, Bishop Paul Loverde of the Arlington Diocese of Northern Virginia gave Rev. Robert Lange permission to reserve the Blessed Sacrament in his chapel on the second floor of his home. The Eucharist had been reserved in the chapel less than a week when this picture was taken from the front porch of a neighbor’s home.

When the neighbor aimed her camera and tried to focus, she said the light coming from Fr. Robert Lange’s house was so bright that it was difficult to look into the camera. (It was a cloudy day and there was no light on in the chapel.) She took the picture and the image -- the Star of David -- is what came out on her digital camera. Not being Catholic, the neighbor had no understanding of the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist.

“My opinion is that Our Lord wanted to give us a beautiful reminder of His True Presence in the Holy Eucharist -- Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity! It is a reminder that He is with us always, that we are never alone, that He is the Son of God and the Son of Man. It is a vivid reminder that He truly suffered and died on the Cross and that He Is Present in this world -- until His Second Coming -- in this Most Special manner -- the Eucharist.
Just as the Star appeared over the stable in Bethlehem when the Christ Child was born, so the Star of David has appeared through the window of my chapel on St. David’s Church Road, Fort Valley, Virginia, to remind us of His Care, Love, Protection, and Presence in our lives today and always.”

ROSARY OF THE SEVEN SORROWS OF MARY

“In the Name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”

Introductory Prayer
My God, I offer You this Rosary for Your Glory, that I may honor Your Holy Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary, by following and sharing her suffering. I humbly beg You to give me true repentance for all my sins. Give me wisdom and the grace of true humility, that I may receive all the indulgences contained in this prayer. Amen.

(“I offer this Rosary for _____.”)

Act of Contrition
O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended You, and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell; but most of all because they offend You, my God, You Who are all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Your grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life. Amen.

In remembrance of the tears that Mary shed because of the suffering of her Divine Son, and to obtain true sorrow for our sins: Hail Mary (3x)

At the cross her station keeping,
Stood the mournful Mother weeping,
Close to Jesus to the last.

Through her heart, his sorrow sharing,
All his bitter anguish bearing,
Now at length the sword had passed.

~ * * * ~

Most Merciful Mother, remind us always
of the sorrows of your Divine Son.

First Sorrow: The Prophecy of Simeon
(Luke 2:22-35)

According to the law of Moses, the Blessed Virgin Mary took Jesus to the temple to present Him to the Lord. Simeon recognized Jesus as the promised Messiah and said: “Now, Master, you may let Your servant go in peace, according to Your word, for my eyes have seen Your salvation, which You prepared in sight of all the peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and glory for Your people Israel.”

Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, “Behold, this Child is destined for the fall and rise of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be contradicted (and you yourself a sword will pierce) so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”

Prayer: Holy Mother Mary, whose heart suffered beyond bearing because of us, help us to suffer with you, and to accept all the suffering God permits to come our way. Imitating you, may our suffering be known to God alone.

To you, Immaculate Mother, who suffered with the Savior of the world, we offer our suffering and the suffering of the world. Join our sorrows to your own and to those of your Son Jesus; and then, offer them to the Eternal Father for the good of souls. You are a mother greater than all. Amen.

Our Father (1x)
Hail Mary (7x)

Virgin Most Sorrowful, Pray for Us!

Oh, how sad and sore distressed
Was that Mother highly blessed
Of the sole begotten One!

Christ above in torment hangs,
She beneath beholds the pangs
Of her dying, glorious Son.

~ * * * ~

Most Merciful Mother, remind us always
of the sorrows of your Divine Son.

Second Sorrow: The Flight into Egypt
(Matthew 2:13-15)

The angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Rise, take the Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you. Herod is going to search for the Child to destroy Him.”

Joseph rose and took the Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt. The holy family stayed in Egypt until the death of Herod, that what the Lord had said through the prophet might be fulfilled: “Out of Egypt I called my son.” (Hosea 11:1)

Prayer: Blessed Mother Mary, who has suffered so much, give us a courageous heart like yours. Help us to accept with love all the suffering God permits to come our way. Help us to accept all the suffering we inflict upon ourselves, and the suffering inflicted upon us by others.

You alone, Immaculate Mother, purify our suffering, that we may give glory to God, and save our souls. Amen.

Our Father (1x)
Hail Mary (7x)

Virgin Most Sorrowful, Pray for Us!

Is there one who would not weep,
‘Whelmed in miseries so deep,
Christ’s dear Mother to behold?

Can the human heart refrain
From partaking in her pain,
In that mother’s pain untold?

~ * * * ~

Most Merciful Mother, remind us always
of the sorrows of your Divine Son.

Third Sorrow: The Loss of Jesus in the Temple
(Luke 2:41-52)

At age 12, Jesus remained behind in Jerusalem after the feast of Passover. Thinking that He was in the caravan, His parents journeyed for a day. Not finding Him among their relatives, they returned to Jerusalem.

After three days they found Him in the temple, “sitting in the midst of the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions, and all who heard Him were astounded at His understanding and His answers.” But Mary exclaimed, “Son, why have You done this to us? Your father and I have been looking for You with great anxiety.” Jesus answered, “Why were you looking for Me? Did you not know that I must be in My Father’s house?”

What pained Mary was that Jesus had decided to stay behind without her consent. She felt the same pain Jesus felt when He was abandoned by His disciples (apostles) during His Passion.

Prayer: Holy Mary, Mother of God, help us to accept everything that will come in this life; help us to be able to carry our crosses. Prepare us to be ready every single moment to come before the Face of God. Amen.

Our Father (1x)
Hail Mary (7x)

Virgin Most Sorrowful, Pray for Us!

Bruised, derided, cursed, defiled,
She beheld her tender Child,
All with bloody scourges rent.

For the sins of his own nation
Saw him hang in desolation
Till his spirit forth he sent.

~ * * * ~

Most Merciful Mother, remind us always
of the sorrows of your Divine Son.

Fourth Sorrow: Mary Meets Jesus on the Way to Calvary
(Luke 23:27-31)

A large crowd followed Jesus, including many women who mourned for Him. Jesus turned to them and said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me; weep instead for yourselves and for your children, for indeed, the days are coming when people will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed.’ At that time people will say to the mountains, ‘Fall upon us!’ and to the hills, ‘Cover us!’ for if these things are done when the wood is green what will happen when it is dry?”

The Blessed Virgin witnessed Jesus carrying the cross on which He was to be crucified. But this was no surprise to Mary, for she already knew about the approaching death of her Son. Already weakened by the soldier’s cruel scourging, sharp thorns and numerous hard blows, Jesus’ body resembled a corpse carrying a cross.

Filled with anguish, Mary watched as Jesus fell once more, exhausted, unable to raise Himself. At that moment, Mary’s eyes full of love and compassion met her Son’s eyes, pained and covered in blood. She shared in the pain of His Passion.

Prayer: Beloved Mother, so stricken with grief, help us to accept and bear our own suffering, that we may relieve your sorrowful heart and that of Jesus. In doing so, may we give glory to God Who gave you and Jesus to us. As you suffered, teach us to suffer silently and patiently. Grant unto us the grace of loving God in everything.

Immaculate Mother, Mother of Sorrows, most afflicted of all mothers, have mercy on us sinners, and on the sinners of the whole world. Amen.

Our Father (1x)
Hail Mary (7x)

Virgin Most Sorrowful, Pray for Us!

O sweet Mother! font of love,
Touch my spirit from above,
Make my heart with yours accord.

Make me feel as you have felt;
Make my soul to glow and melt
With the love of Christ, my Lord.

~ * * * ~

Most Merciful Mother, remind us always
of the sorrows of your Divine Son.

Fifth Sorrow: Mary Stands at the Foot of the Cross
(John 19:25-27)

Standing at the foot of the Cross of Jesus were His mother, His mother’s sister (Mary), and Mary Magdalene (“out of whom He had driven seven demons”). When Jesus saw His mother and John (“the disciple whom He loved”), He said to His mother, “Woman, behold, your son.” Then He said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother.” And from that hour the disciple John took the Blessed Virgin Mary into his home.

Prayer: Beloved Mother, Immaculate Mother, Queen of Martyrs, give us the courage you had in all your sufferings so that we may unite our sufferings with yours and give glory to God. Help us to follow your example, so that Jesus’ sacrifice will not be in vain, and all sinners, the world over, will be saved. Amen.

Our Father (1x)
Hail Mary (7x)

Virgin Most Sorrowful, Pray for Us!

Holy Mother, pierce me through,
In my heart each wound renew
Of my Savior crucified.

Let me share with you his pain,
Who for all our sins was slain,
Who for me in torments died.

~ * * * ~

Most Merciful Mother, remind us always
of the sorrows of your Divine Son.

Sixth Sorrow: Mary Receives the Dead Body of Jesus in Her Arms
(John 19:38-40)

After this, Joseph of Arimathea, secretly a disciple of Jesus for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate if he could remove the body of Jesus. And Pilate permitted it. So he came and took His body. Nicodemus also came bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes. They took the body of Jesus and bound it with burial cloths along with the spices, according to the Jewish burial custom.

Mary knew better than anyone else that Jesus was God Incarnate -- that God had taken a human body to become the Savior of the world. And looking at His broken body, the Holy Mother knew that His agonizing death was far worse than the torture reserved for the wickedest of criminals. Mary prayed for the world. She prayed for all of us, that all would truly follow God, so that Jesus’ torturous death would not be in vain.

Prayer: Beloved Mother, we thank you for your courage as you stood beneath the Cross on which your Son was crucified, giving Himself up for our salvation. That is when you became Our Mother. We implore you to be our advocate before the throne of mercy and grace, so that we can truly become your children. We thank you for Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer, and we thank Jesus for giving you to us.

“Holy Mary, Mother of God (Mediatrix of all graces), pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.”

Our Father (1x)
Hail Mary (7x)

Virgin Most Sorrowful, Pray for Us!

Let me mingle tears with you,
Mourning him who mourned for me,
All the days that I may live.

By the cross with you to stay,
There with you to weep and pray,
Is all I ask of you to give.

~ * * * ~

Most Merciful Mother, remind us always
of the sorrows of your Divine Son.

Seventh Sorrow: Jesus Is Placed in the Tomb
(John 19:41-42)

Now in the place where Jesus had been crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb, in which no one had ever been laid. So because of the Jewish day of Preparation, they laid Jesus there.

With great pain and tremendous sorrow, the Mother of the Word Incarnate returned home knowing, “It is accomplished!” The earthly life of her Son Jesus -- the work that the Eternal Father had given Him to do -- is accomplished.

Prayer: Most Beloved Mother, Mother of Mercy, Mother of Jesus, and Mother of us all, we are your children and we place our trust in you, as we place our trust in Jesus. Teach us to see God in all things and in all situations, even in our sufferings. Help us to understand the importance of redemptive suffering.

Immaculate Mother, although you were conceived without sin, you suffered more than others. You accepted suffering with love and with unsurpassed courage. You stood by your Son from the time He was arrested until He died. You suffered along with Jesus, accomplished the will of the Eternal Father, and hence became Mediatrix of all graces.

Mother Mary, we beg you to teach us to do as Jesus did. Teach us to accept our cross courageously. Help us to follow in His footsteps, even to be willing to lay down our lives for others. And when our end is upon us, may we also be able to say, “It is accomplished.” Amen.

Our Father (1x)
Hail Mary (7x)

Virgin Most Sorrowful, Pray for Us!

Virgin of all virgins blest!
Listen to my fond request:
Let me share your grief divine.

Let me to my latest breath,
In my body bear the death
Of that dying Son of yours.

Concluding Prayer
Mother Mary, Queen of Martyrs, your soul was immersed in the ocean of suffering. We beg you by the merits of the tears you shed in these terrible sorrowful mysteries, to obtain for us and all sinners of the world, the graces of complete sincerity, true repentance and conversion. Amen.

To wipe away our Sorrowful Mother’s tears shed because of the suffering of her Divine Son: Our Father (3x) and Hail Mary (3x)

“O Mary, conceived without sin,
pray for us who have recourse to thee.” (3x)

The Memorare
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, our Mother. To thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy, hear and answer me. Amen.

“In the Name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”
